For God So Loved The World
WELCOME. We always look forward to welcoming students here at Reddish Christian Fellowship. Whether you’re a new or returning student, reasonably new to Manchester or have lived here all your life – you’re assured of a warm welcome from us all.
A bit about us. We’re an independent evangelical church united by a common love for our Lord Jesus Christ in whom we have found true purpose and meaning for our lives. We believe that God has called us to build a lively, growing, biblically based church which will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to worship the Lord and communicate to others the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our informal and friendly gatherings are characterised by vibrant praise and worship, a desire to hear and understand God’s Word and a passion to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Relevant and practical teaching from the Bible, week by week, enables us to live effectively in our world and to reach out to our communities with the love of God. We are a church that believes the Christian message has relevance to every aspect of our lives, not just on a Sunday. We’re a friendly bunch with young families, children and older members, and look forward to welcoming you into our Christian family.
EVENTS. Full details of meetings, including special events, can be found on the ‘Church Calendar’ and Events sections of our website.
For 2015-16, we hope to organise various events including fellowship evenings, meals out, day trips and excursions, and seminars tailored for students.
If you have questions or would like to know more about the church and or its events, we’d love to hear from you. You can get in touch by dropping us an email at studentinfo@rcfell.com or calling 07340079643.
GETTING THERE. If you live on campus, we’re easily reached by the 203 on Sundays, which can be boarded at the Piccadilly/Newton St. stop just opposite Fatso’s. Get off at Houldsworth Sq., walk 3 mins. along Broadstone Rd. and the church will be on your right (on the corner of Liverpool St.).
For weekdays, we recommend you get the 42A or 84 (goes to and from Manchester Uni.) and get off at the Broadstone Rd./Sylvia Grove stop (manjgtwt). From there it’s less than a 1 min. walk back along Broadstone Rd. You can get the same bus back into Manchester from the opposite stop or the 203 from Houldsworth Sq. which runs frequently to Piccadilly during the evening.
If you cycle, it takes approx. 25 minutes from central Manchester. We have spaces for you to secure your bicycle.
And for drivers, there’s a free car park on Broadstone Rd. opposite The Phad Thai restaurant. From there it’s a 1 min. walk to church.
That just leaves us to say that we wish you well in your studies and in settling into university life, and we look forward to meeting you!
